WHO WE ARE

  • Red Gate Farms of Pembroke, Inc. is a community-centered agricultural organization committed to improving health, strengthening families, and expanding access to fresh, nutritious food. 


  • Located in Pembroke, North Carolina, the farm combines sustainable agriculture, education, youth development, and community partnerships to address important needs throughout the region. 


  • We believe a farm can be more than a place where food is grown—it can also be a place of learning, healing, responsibility, opportunity, and connection.

OUR MISSION

  • Grow fresh, healthy, and sustainable food using environmentally responsible agricultural practices. 
  • Improve food security by connecting local families, nonprofit organizations, and community feeding programs with nourishing, locally grown food.

FOOD SECURITY & NUTRITION

  • Increase access to fresh fruits, vegetables, and other nutritious farm products for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. 
  • Support community feeding efforts by working with nonprofit organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other local partners. 
  • Provide nutrition education that encourages healthy eating habits and a better understanding of food preparation and wellness. 
  • Coordinate farm harvests with identified community needs to ensure that fresh food reaches people who can benefit from it most. 
  • Promote the belief that every family deserves equitable access to healthy, nourishing food.

  • Encourage young people to understand where their food comes from and the important role agriculture plays in everyday life. 
  • Offer youth in care opportunities to build confidence, discover new interests, and develop skills that can support future education and employment.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

  • Build collaborative relationships with schools, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, government agencies, faith-based groups, and community leaders.
